Prayers dedicated to Egypt

Dear Lord, today we would like to thank you for the last three weeks that Egypt has witnessed, for the union of all the Egyptians, the sharing and solidarity acts. We would like to ask you to accompany Egypt in this specific moment of truth toward its purification and complete conversion. Lord, please forgive the passivity of your Church, let it convert, let it revolt on itself, on its thoughts and structure, let it be active and author of a new spirit of openness, fraternity and justice in the society.

Let us pray that the glorious revolution of the 25th January be inspiring and liberating for all, that it liberates Egypt- on all its social levels- of all kind of corruption, injustice, violence, selfishness, love of power or money. And let us pray especially for our former president Moubarak and his family so that they may live this hard time as an opportunity for their own liberty and as a way to conversion.

Let us pray for the revolution martyrs and their families, for the injured and those who lost their eyes, for those who disappeared, who were tortured or are still under arrest and for those who had known a great economic lost. Let us also pray for the authors of these violent acts: for the corrupted ministers, members of the parliament, of the police or the army, for the thugs and the thieves. Lord, have mercy of all your children and grant us the grace and the force to forgive those who harmed us.

Let us pray for all the Egyptians, for those with and against the revolution, so that all may be united under one goal: the construction of a new Egypt of justice and fraternity. Let us also pray that the revolution reaches the spirit of each Egyptian giving birth to a new Egyptian more responsible of his own country. And let us finally pray for the Egyptian army who is leading the county in this moment and for the youth protesters who are expressing the people demands so that God gives them all the wisdom to lead the country toward its best good.
